Oregon voters saw through Art Robinson’s stunt and soundly defeated his son’s bizarre bid for the Democratic nomination.
Art Robinson's extreme positions didn't win voters over in 2010 and they won't win them over in 2012. Wall Street nearly destroyed our economy and had to be bailed out by American taxpayers. But Art Robinson is opposed to regulations that would rein in Wall Street and thinks banks like JP Morgan should be able to gamble billions on secret, risky trades that threaten our shaky economy. He has said that the "Ryan Plan" that would end Medicare as we know it isn't extreme enough. And for 20 years, he has campaigned to abolish our public schools and has said public schools are a form of child abuse.
I have a long record of fighting for sensible policies to create jobs, protect Main Street from Wall Street abuses, strengthen Social Security and Medicare, and improve educational opportunities for the next generation.
Now that Robinson's primary sideshow is over, we can focus on our specific and detailed solutions to address the economy and other serious problems plaguing our country.
