What will you be marching for?

The Women's March was the largest public demonstration in American history. I was moved by the crowd, the energy, and the united focus on raising our voices for women, for minorities and marginalized groups, and for our country. A lot has happened in the past year, and this much is clear: our unified movement is powerful, we've already had impacts, and we're not slowing down!

On Saturday, January 20th I'll be joining millions of people across the world for the Women's March for Action. We all have at least one reason to march. I'll be turning out to stand with each of you and to raise my voice.

I'll be standing in support of workers, economic prosperity, and a fair tax structure;

Standing in support of Dreamers, immigrants, people of color, and all minority groups;

Standing in support of LGBTQ community members;

Standing in support of the #MeToo movement and those impacted by workplace harassment and sexual assault;

Standing in support of women running for public office;

Standing in support of healthcare for all;

And standing in support of taking our country back in 2018!

Join us, tune in to the livestream on my page, or find your nearest march. Tell me: what will you be marching for?

In solidarity,

As Independent as Oregon.

Peter DeFazio's common-sense proposals aim to create good-paying jobs, expand access to affordable health care and develop options outside of the for-profit marketplace, restore economic and educational opportunities, hold government accountable and tip the scales of inequality back in favor of hard-working Oregonians.
