Sign the petition: protect our clean air

Twenty percent of all carbon emissions come from cars and light trucks. In an effort to combat global warming, the Obama administration enacted policies that call for better fuel efficiency and emission standards. Makes sense, right? And it's already worked to reduce pollution, save people money at the pump, and create jobs.

The Trump administration wants to reverse those standards and increase harmful auto emissions.

Sign the petition to protect emission standards that improve air quality and fight climate change.

The Trump administration is putting the priorities of their big-pollution donors and the oil industry above what's best for everyone: clean air and the right to live in a healthy environment.

The EPA and Department of Transportation can't wait to gut Obama's Clean Air Act but even the auto industry is opposing this rollback!

The chief executive of General Motors, Mary Barra, reportedly told the president that they would welcome a deal that retains current pollution standards if incentives for fuel-efficient technologies were put in place. (The New York Times, July 5)

Sign the petition to tell Trump to stop trying to roll back clean car standards.

P.S. Scott Pruitt's recent resignation from the EPA is great news but it does not change Trump's agenda to roll back emission standards.
