I have always said that women have the right to make their own health care decisions. In 2019, that shouldn't be controversial.

That's why I've always voted to expand access to affordable reproductive health care, opposed arbitrary abortion restrictions, and stood with Planned Parenthood in the face of deceptive attacks. And I always will.

It is an honor to be once again endorsed by NARAL as a Pro-Choice Champion for the 2020 cycle. It means the world to me to be recognized as an ally in the fight for a woman's right to control their own body.

In 2018, I put my efforts behind electing progressive candidates who share those values, up-and-coming leaders like Katie Hill in California, Dr. Kim Schrier in Washington State, and Abby Finkenauer in Iowa. Now, I'm thrilled to work side by side with those representatives to protect women's freedom from extremist attacks. And in 2020, our movement will continue to work for leaders who vote to protect our health care and don't think being a woman is a pre-existing condition.

Chip in now to fuel the fight in 2020!

The attacks on women's health aren't done yet, Saba. Not by a long shot. But I'll keep up the fight in Congress until every woman in America has the right to make her own decisions about her body, pregnancy, and parenthood.

I'm proud of my 100% rating from NARAL. It's a privilege to stand with them to defend a woman's right to choose, and I'm looking forward to leading the charge to keep building our movement in 2020.

Peter DeFazio's common-sense proposals aim to create good-paying jobs, expand access to affordable health care and develop options outside of the for-profit marketplace, restore economic and educational opportunities, hold government accountable and tip the scales of inequality back in favor of hard-working Oregonians.
