Oregon's leading the way on voting

Oregon gets a lot of things right. Women's reproductive rights. Conservation of our public lands. And voting by mail. Oregon consistently has one of the highest participation rates in the country because we know that when everyone votes, it's a collective win for our country.

Our primary election is on Tuesday, May 19, but ballots will be hitting mailboxes – thanks to our trusted and hardworking United States Postal Service – early next week.

In 2018, voter turnout increased by double digits across the country thanks to our efforts to turn out the vote. Now let's push a little harder and see if we can vote in record numbers again. Register to vote if you haven't already, ahead of the deadline on Tuesday. Remember that if you plan to vote in Oregon's Democratic primary, you must be registered with the Democratic Party to receive the ballot.

This election will determine our future– from the health of our planet to how our leaders respond to a pandemic. Make it count, and make sure you're registered to vote at your current address.

Across the country, voters have been forced to choose between making their voice heard in a democracy or risking their life to a global health pandemic. In Oregon, we don't have to. Register to vote and be sure to turn in your ballot by May 19th at 8pm.
