This election is about who government works for — whether we can make it work for everyone, or whether it'll just keep working for the wealthy and well-connected. It's about who has power.
My friend and colleague Congressman Peter DeFazio co-founded the Progressive Caucus and he's never stopped fighting for bold, progressive reforms that put power in the hands of the people. We need to make sure he wins his re-election.
Next, we need to make sure his team has the resources they need to get out the vote.
As this pandemic deepens, Peter knows that we have to put the public health experts and scientists in charge, not let Donald Trump or Peter's opponent, Alek Skarlatos, make it worse. And Peter will always put working families first and ensure that economic relief helps those who need it – not big corporations and powerful interests.
Let's leave everything on the field. Let's wake up on November 4 with no regrets. Let's do everything we possibly can to defeat Donald Trump and his Republican enablers across the country, including in Oregon.
There has never been a more righteous time to get in the fight. It's all on the line.
So don't give in, don't back down. Dig a little deeper and keep up the fight. Our democracy depends on it.
We have to defeat Donald Trump. But that's not enough. We also need to send a message to all of the Republicans who've enabled him and cheered him on – including Peter DeFazio's Trump-loving opponent. Please chip in right now if you can and let's make sure we have Peter's back.
Thanks for being a part of this,
Elizabeth Warren
U.S. Senator
