Every single day, I get up in the morning and think about how I'm going to help the people of my district, my state, and my country.
I'm honored to report that an independent, nonpartisan, academic research group — The Center for Effective Lawmaking — has named me the second-most effective lawmaker in Congress.
That's why I ran for Congress. To make life better for working families, to make sure people have health care, to heal our planet, to build sustainable infrastructure, and to make sure that the people set the agenda—not the big corporations and Wall Street billionaires. It's our job as lawmakers to pass effective and substantive legislation that supports all Americans, and I am ecstatic to be recognized for my work.
Of course, those powerful and wealthy special interests aren't big fans of mine. They've come at me again and again.
Remember when I was the first member of Congress targeted by a dark money SuperPAC? The attacks have only gotten worse since then. Just a few weeks ago, Republican leader Kevin McCarthy targeted me for defeat, saying "you're going to see things in Oregon."
And I'll keep doing the job I was elected to do for you, your family, and your loved ones all across the country.
