Today is Veterans Day, a day to show our gratitude to our nation's veterans for their service.

I believe it is our nation's moral obligation to care for our veterans who have risked everything to protect and defend this country.

As an Air Force vet, this is personal to me, and it's why I will always fight to improve veterans' access to quality health care and hold veterans' facilities accountable that are not providing veterans with the care they deserve.

I demanded accountability and reform at the Roseburg VA when I learned it was being mismanaged. And just last month, I fought to secure funding for a facility at Lebanon's Veterans Home to help senior veterans struggling with memory disorders.

On this Veterans Day, will you do me a favor? If you have a friend or family member who is a veteran, please reach out to them and let them know our movement appreciates their service to this nation.

Let's shine a light on those who have served this nation selflessly and show them our gratitude.

Happy Veterans Day!
