Our strong team of interns will help elect Congressman DeFazio, allies in Oregon, and play a crucial role in maintaining and expanding the majority in Congress.

Working on a political campaign is a great way to build a resume and offers a chance to build professional relationships, networking skills, and to be civically engaged. Countless former interns with DeFazio for Congress have gone on to work on local campaigns, advocacy organizations, and work as political staffers in the state legislature and in Washington D.C. Our interns will obtain hands-on work experience with the fast-paced nature of a political campaign including working with volunteers to contact voters and encourage participation in the democratic process. Interns will also participate in weekly skill building sessions, hear from guest speakers across the political field, and see what it’s like to work in each area of a campaign.
